Not that often I use real place as reference. But I wanted to give myself a challenge, to paint something unplanned. And honestly I'm happy I made that choice. It's mountain called Chrüzberg and it's in Switzerland.
And I have to say it was a challenging task truly. I noticed when I use reference I tend paint every tiny detail. And as you might know, mountains are full of those. So later in the process I had to close the reference and start paint in my style without it. And I really like the result. What do you think? Wanna see more real places in my style?
